Bio:

Samwel Sudi is climate change and climate finance expert, currently working as an Advisor for Climate and Water at GIZ Tanzania. Samwel has broad expertise in adaptation planning, having supported National Adaptation Planning process in Tanzania specifically in strengthen institutions and enhance vertical and horizontal coordination for climate change adaptation planning, facilitate mainstreaming of climate risks at sectoral and subnational levels, and identify a programs of priority climate change adaptation investments. He has extensive knowledge in planning, accessing, and utilizing climate finance to implement adaptation interventions. He has knowledge in accreditation processes for the UNFCCC non-financial mechanisms of Green Climate Fund and Adaptation Fund. Samwel has proven experience of supporting institutions in accessing and utilizing climate funds from the Adaptation Fund and International Climate Initiative (IKI). Samwel, holds Masters in Climate Change and Sustainable Development, also he is a certified climate finance trainer, with a focus on climate adaptation project design. Samwel is based in Dodoma, Tanzania and speaks Swahili and English.
