Joalane Marunye is a Lecturer in the Department of Geography and Environmental Science at the National University of Lesotho. She graduated with an MSc in Climate Change from the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom. Her expertise lies on climate change adaptation, with experience spanning for over 15 years. She worked for Climate Change Unit of the Lesotho Meteorological Services (LMS), a Lesotho Government institution responsible for weather and climate related matters and also serves as the Government of Lesotho’s focal point for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. She has been involved in the development of national climate change reports such as the National Communications, National Adaptation Programme of Action (NAPA), Nationally Determined Contributions and Technology Needs Assessment among others. Her contributions in the reports were mainly on climate change adaptation.
